About California Expungement Law

A California law practice that does one thing: clearing California criminal records.

Who we are

California Expungement Law will operate as a trade name of a private California law firm. The responsible attorney is Bryan Fazio, Esq.. The firm's registered name, State Bar number and office address are confirmed before this site accepts a single client, and they appear in the footer of every page once they are.

We are a private law firm. We are not a government agency, a court, or a legal aid or nonprofit organization, and we are not affiliated with any of them.

Why this site is built the way it is

We spent the first part of this project reading the competition, and what we found decided how we would operate.

  • Every major competitor publishes contradictory prices on its own website. On a single day, the published all-in price for one California misdemeanour expungement ranged from $550 to $995 — and a third of that spread was two firms disagreeing with themselves. So we publish one number per service, including the filing fee.
  • The traffic leader in this market advertises a free eligibility test that does not exist; the page it links to asks you to call during business hours. Ours works, needs no email address, and gives you the answer on screen.
  • Nobody tells visitors that California has been clearing records automatically since 2024. Our check asks about it first and will refuse to show you a price if it looks like you may already be covered.
  • Everyone sells "clear your record". California does not erase records, and saying otherwise is a misstatement of the law. We say what a dismissal actually does, on every page that uses the word.

Why there are no reviews here

This is a new practice, so you will not find review counts, star ratings or case numbers on this site. We would rather show you the law, the real filing fee in your county, and a free check that tells you no when the answer is no.

What we do with what you tell us

Criminal history is about as sensitive as personal information gets. This site loads no third-party scripts, no advertising trackers and no external fonts, so nothing you type here is visible to anyone but us. The eligibility check does not ask for your email address before it gives you an answer, and it has no free-text box. Documents you upload later are stored encrypted and are never sent by email.

Read the privacy policy.

Getting hold of us

Email [email protected]. There is also a contact form, which creates a ticket so nothing gets lost in an inbox.

Legal information on this page was last checked against primary sources in October 2026. California law changes; if you are reading this long after that date, confirm before you rely on it.

Find out where you actually stand

The check is free, takes about two minutes, and needs no account and no card. If your record cannot be cleared yet, it tells you that and why.
